What is Mizon Skin Power Original First Essence?
Mizon Skin Power Original First Essence is a daily hydrating toner-like essence, also well known as a dupe for SKII. Mizon claims that this multi-formula includes 10 skin power solutions and contain 94.5% premium Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate. It promises a moisturizing, firming, boosting, tone correction, tone-up, balancing, anti-ageing, relieving, removing dead skin, and hypoallergenic formula. The Galactomyces included is not made from "SAKE" or Rice Wine. It is fermented from expensive premium-grade rice for cosmetic purposes only with no alcohol in the formulation.

Ingredients
Looking into the full list of ingredients for Mizon Skin Power Original First Essence, its main ingredients are Glactomyces. Most of the INCI lists found online are old lists, so I'll refer to the INCI on the box it came with. The main goodies are Niacinamide, Glycerin, Adenosine, Ceramide NP, Ariginin and Hyaluronic Acid. There are quite a number of skin-identical and moisturizing ingredients too. However, even though it's free from alcohol, it does contain a few added EO's.
Packaging
It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a screw cap. I know many have said this is a dupe of SKII, but the design is almost similar to it as well. However, since this essence is cheaper, it's understandable that it doesn't feel luxurious like how it looks. But still, the packaging is still very nice.
Texture
It's very watery and runny, however, it does take time to fully absorb into the skin if you dap it in with your palms. The texture is beautiful though, it's very watery but at the same time, it does seem a bit viscous.
Scent-Wise
It does have quite a strong scent, which I expected with EO's on the list
Experience
I have used this essence for over a week now and I'm still confused about whether this is a toner or an essence. LOL... But since its texture is like toner, I've been treating it as a toner and so far I did not experience any irritation or bad reactions while or after application of the product. The texture is nice, and it does hydrate the skin as claimed but my skin seems to feel a bit tight once the essence is fully absorbed. But still, it does not feel irritating and it's pleasing to use.
Overall Thoughts
Mizon Skin Power Original First Essence should be a good try if you've been wanting to try SKII. However, I can't compare if it's almost similar or not because I haven't tried SKII before. But still, the main ingredient stays the same and Galactomyces is very well known for their beneficial properties for the skin. I've been a fan of Galactomyces for years now and it's really worth the try. Overall, Mizon's Skin Power Original First Essence is a promising product, however sensitive and acne-prone skin should be careful, make sure to do a patch test first.
