My Thoughts on Neovable Amazing Cica Booster Moisturizer
This is my review of Neovable Amazing Cica Booster MoisturizerSwipe left for more pictures:
Ingredients
Looking into the full list of ingredients for Neovable Amazing Cica Booster Moisturizer, its main ingredients are Centella Asiatica, Tamanu Extract, and also Tea Tree which is located at the very top of the INCI list. It's then followed with Glycerin, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, and Panthenol. All the moisturizing and soothing ingredients are located at the top of the INCI list.
Packaging
It comes in a frosted glass bottle with a screw cap. I'm unsure if it comes with an outer box since I received it in a PR kit. The design of the jar looks neat and the glass jar added a bit of a taste of elegance to it. I have no complaints about the packaging.
Texture
It's a thick milky white cream that looks pleasantly satisfying to apply on. The cream is really viscous and you can expect it to not be lightweight. It glides well on the skin, but it takes time to fully absorb and it leaves a slightly oily feel on the skin.
Scent-Wise
Its scent is quite strong but rather than a fragrancy scent, it smells like petroleum jelly to me.
Experience
I have used this cream in my morning skincare routine for a week over now and I did not experience any irritation or bad reaction while or after application of the product. However, this cream feels like petroleum jelly to me. I'm unsure if it's my brain, but the scent is almost similar to vaseline which makes me feel like the texture is almost similar to vaseline as well. Instead, this cream is thicker and more viscous than vaseline.
It certainly does lock hydration but it takes a bit of time to fully absorb into the skin and it leaves quite an oily finish too. I can only use drying sunscreens with this moisturizer, or else my skin will get too oily in a few hours, especially when I tend to sweat. However, I do love how it makes my skin feel calm and hydrated.
Pictures were shot within the same time frame at the same place on different dates. The color difference is due to lighting and these pictures were not color edited. |
I can't really say this is a before & after shot since the 'before pictures' were shot even before I started using this range. But just to show you my skin difference then and now, so you'll get the picture. I didn't manage to take pictures of my skin condition before using Neovable's products, so the only pictures I have are the 'after pictures'. However, you can clearly see that my skin condition did improve a lot over a month. The redness and acne marks did improve and my skin does look a bit brighter.
Overall Thoughts
Neovable Amazing Cica Booster Moisturizer is worth the try probably for those with dry skin conditions. I can't say it suits my oily-combination skin, but that is only from my point of view. Remember that each skin is different, so it may work on you if you give it a try. The INCI list does look promising, so I could say, it may be worth the try.
