Ingredients
Looking into the full list ingredients of AXIS-Y Artichoke Intensive Skin Barrier Ampoule, its key ingredients are Artichoke, Tea Tree, Cica, Aloe, Licorice, Okra and also so much skin-loving ingredients. Most of the main ingredients provide antibacterial properties that should help the skin deal with acne.
AXIS-Y also highlights 'sugarcane' in their website where it contains AHA. But I didn't manage to identify the INCI in the ingredient list. What concerns me is its daily use, if it does contain AHA then it shouldn't be used daily since it has exfoliating properties. But I'm assuming that the amount of AHA in the ampoule is safe enough to be used daily as AXIS-Y did not highlight this.
Other than that, AXIS-Y also claims to use LTR technology (which I'm not sure what it is either) which says that this technology locks in moisture and keeps the skin hydrated for more than 6 hours. It also easily absorbs into the skin within 3 seconds. It also soothes cracked skin and boosts hydration after every application. Sounds very good right?
However, going through the INCI list it does contain Alcohol, so those with really sensitive skin should be a bit cautious. But still, the INCI list does look great with the combination of plant-based ingredients which are mostly for hydration and to strengthen the skin barrier.
Packaging
Texture
It's lightweight but not that runny or thick either. The consistency is like a very light gel and pleasantly soothing. It absorbs fast into the skin as well so yes, the 3-second claim is approved by me. It does feel a bit sticky but after application, it dries up so fast and gives the skin an instant plump feeling.
Scent-Wise
It doesn't have a strong scent as its toner but the scent does seem to be similar. It has like a chemical kind of scent but just don't worry because the scent is based on plants as AXIS-Y does not use artificial fragrances and that's so good. Anyhow, the scent is good to me so I have no complaints about it.
Experience
3 years ago when I first tried out AXIS-Y's ampoule I was in the midst of having a really bad breakout. I think my acne recovered a lot from using this and my skin is surely better than it was before, I never had experienced really bad acne ever before I gave birth to my son but I'm not complaining, that's normal. So when I started to get really annoyed with my skin, I started to look for a solution and that that involved trying AXIS-Y's 6+1+1 products. I saw major improvements to my skin after that, it looks more healthy and alive. It worked amazingly well back then.

So below is my current experience in 2021 using the whole AXIS-Y range for 3 weeks.
You can see quite a major difference right? Well, before you tend to freak out, let me elaborate on my process of trying the whole AXIS-Y range. I used the whole range for my day and night routine for the whole 3 weeks I've tried without using it with any other products, of course, I used sunscreen too but from a different brand.
Anyhow, for the past 3 weeks, I've been under a lot of stress too as I'm adapting to new changes and it has been difficult and my body was reacting to these changes too. As you can see, acne seems to be seen more in my after picture, yes that's true. In fact, not only on the face but the whole body including in my ears and that's how bad it was. Even my period was late for 2 weeks which confirms that my body isn't in a good condition back then. This usually happens to me if I'm under a lot of stress and tiredness.
However, the after picture you're seeing is reduced acne from week 2 of trying AXIS-Y. It was bad during week 2 but I didn't manage to take a picture because I wasn't thinking much about this review during that time. My thoughts were so occupied that I couldn't think much about my skincare routine. Usually, I'll try new skincare for a week but at the same time maintain my normal routine, but for the past 3 weeks, I just used AXIS-Y's range for my day and night routine.
So honestly I can't really say AXIS-Y's range had caused my skin to produce acne since my body wasn't really balanced during my testing period. I can actually suffer a long period of a really bad breakout but thank goodness this one wasn't that bad even under the situation I was in, I still managed to put on skincare every day.
Overall Thoughts
If you think I'm over AXIS-Y already, well I can't yet because the last time I tried it help a lot in recovering my acne. Since my body is reacting better and I'm not seeing any new acne popping, and also I finally got my period, it seems my body is getting back to normal.
Starting this week, I'm changing my skincare routine again but I'll still be using AXIS-Y products for my day daily routine. I'll be using a different skincare range at night and I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes in my next review for the AXIS-Y range. So keep updated on my upcoming posts.Rate: 5/5
