Mamonde Blue Chamomile Soothing Repair Cream Review

Honestly, I thought there was only one kind of chamomile flower, it turns out there are 2 types that are widely used in the beauty industry. The Roman Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) and the German Chamomile is also known as the Blue Chamomile (Matricaria). Both types of flower Chamomiles have similar, if not the same properties, they have anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties. Compared to Roman chamomile, German chamomile contains a higher concentration of key active ingredients that have shown anti-inflammatory properties namely the terpenoids chamazulene and bisabolol. Mamonde Korea which is known for producing skincare products based on flowers has yet recently launched a new skincare product using Blue Chamomile as it a key ingredient and you don't wanna miss this. Mamonde's Blue Chamomile Cream is an emergency relief daily moisturizer. Azulene is extracted from the German Chamomile. The essential oil extracted is blue in colour. Mamonde uses 2X Azulene, a combination of ingredients to maximize and stabilize the efficacy of soothing, skin regeneration and strengthen skin barrier effect. They used 5 types of Hyaluronic Acids of different sizes to relieve internal dryness and fully hydrate the skin.

My Thoughts on Mamonde Blue Chamomile Cream

I've used this product for almost 2 weeks now and it amazed me on how fast it soothed my skin. About a week over my skin condition has been showing positive results as redness has reduced and my skin definitely looks healthier. My skin was probably reacting to a new skincare product I was testing out before I tried out the Blue Chamomile, or probably because I've been using a lot of acids too. My skin kinda needed a break and this Blue Chamomile cream arrived at the right time. I instantly gave it a try and it does as it claims, 100% satisfaction from me.

Update:
I managed to finish the tub and I'm still sticking to what I have last said last time that it still does give 100% satisfaction. After my 2 week experiment with this cream, I started to use it once a while when I feel like my skin needed a break. It's the perfect solution to get back healthy skin especially when my skin has become irritated after trying out new products.

Ingredients
Looking at Mamonde Blue Chamomile Cream ingredients, as I explained above, they use Blue Chamomile (Matricaria) for this cream instead of Roman Chamomile. Both chamomiles are great ingredients but the Blue Chamomile contains greater benefits and Mamonde extracts 2X Azulene that helps to strengthen skin barrier effect. This cream also promotes 5 types of Hyaluronic Acid which are listed down in its ingredients list. With Hyaluronic Acids including, this gives this cream a boost of moisturising agents which I bet those with dry skin should love this. Mamonde's Blue Chamomile cream also includes Niacinamide which is a brightening agent and also Vitamin E. Other than that, it contains mostly good emollients that should be hydrating for the skin. Overall this cream should be suitable for all skin types mostly for sensitive skin.

Packaging
I'm totally rooting for this kind of packaging, I feel it to be more hygienic than normal tubs. I've seen a couple of brands using this kind of packaging and it's pretty nice and easy to get the product out. It also saves some space in our pouch. A pro tip with this kind of packaging is that you can cut the tube on its final day of usage and scoop out the product inside clean. Did I do it? Nope! Haha... I'm a packaging collector, I can't find the heart to throw out old skincare bottles.

Texture
The texture of the cream is light but rich which you feel it penetrating into the skin easily. It gives a certain nice relief after application which I noticed waking up with this cream in the morning creates a very nice supple and moistured skin to start the day. The feeling waking up with skin like that is just amazing.

Scent-Wise
It has just a slight soft scent and looking into the ingredient list, it doesn't seem to have fragrance. Which makes it perfect for those with sensitive skin.

Reaction
If you swipe left in my IG post above you'll see a picture of my skin before and after. That's the result after using this cream day and night every day and the result is tremendously satisfying. It shrunk without leaving dark marks. Now I'm relying on this cream every time I tend to get bumps like this appearing on my face again.

Overall Thoughts
Overall, I highly recommend this for everyone especially for beauty junkies who uses quite a number of exfoliation products in their routine. Having this cream included in your daily routine should do good, especially during sensitive times. Just make sure you add exfoliation in your routine if you're planning to use this throughout the year.

Update:
I still stand to what I said, this cream should be good use during sensitive times and it did do good, well for me it did. My skin usually gets very sensitive during the first few days during my period and I'll get these big painful acne bumps also and it drives me nuts seeing it and it's irritating too. When that happens, I'll tend to use Mamonde's Blue Chamomile Soothing Repair Cream as it really gives relief to the skin. This so far has done so much good to my skin so now I'm opening my 2nd bottle.


You can already take the hint that I'm truly liking this cream. Indeed as it's been serving my skin good. I don't use it every day now, I just use it on days I feel my skin needs a break and this is the cream that helps my skin heal back to its originals state. Yet again, I don't feel shy to say it again that this cream is very recommended.
