Good Morning peeps!
I am back with my second posting on my trip to Kelantan. If you guys missed out my previous post, head down here and make sure to watch my little teaser first before you continue reading the rest of this post.
Okay peeps, so today's post will be about Hotel Perdana Kota Baru Kelantan.
Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu Kelantan is owned by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) and managed by PNB Management Services Sdn Bhd. This hotel used to be a Three-star hotel, but then after extensive renovations, they opened back in August 2013. Kementerian Pelancongan Malaysia then accorded Hotel Perdana as a Five Star Hotel and they also received its Halal certification from JAKIM.
This hotel is located in the heart of Kota Bharu and is seen as an iconic landmark here in Kota Bharu. Since Hotel Perdana is in the prime area, other landmarks and tourist attractions are just accessible within walking distance. Hence The Perdana Trail (A Historical and Heritage Walk) is introduced.
Before I go any further, I would like to give a shoutout because Hotel Perdana has just recently been awarded the Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor.
For those who usually travel would surely be familiar with Trip Advisor right?
So a big congratulations to Hotel Perdana, you surely deserve it. Keep up the great service always!
Many of their customers are giving positive feedback about Hotel Perdana. Read it here. Mostly all are very good reviews so now I would like to share my review with you guys.
When I first stepped foot in Hotel Perdana I was instantly amazed. The luxurious feel made me jumping inside out with excitement. The hotel's architecture and interior design possessed a strong feel of Malay Heritage. The Lobby looks really grand with the high ceiling added with a chandelier and a grand staircase at the end of the lobby. It made me feel like I'm in paradise. We were all greeted warmly by each staff we met with wide smiles and welcoming greetings.
So on the first day after breakfast, we had the chance to visit some of Hotel Perdana's pride during their hotel's inspection. Hotel Perdana is divided into two wings, the Classic wing (old wing) and the Executive wing (new wing). First, we were taken to see the Classic wing which offers these room categories:
Deluxe Classic
6 Accessible Rooms
Premier
Deluxe Premier
Deluxe Suite
Each corridor we walked through is decorated with beautiful art pieces on the wall. These art pieces are all drawn by their local artists here which each piece of artwork displays the identity Kelantan.
I was really amazed at how Hotel Perdana took the effort to promote art, especially the local ones. These arts managed to grab our attention as most of us are very new to Kelantan and we are curious about the subject of each artwork.
I seriously felt like this was one of my class trips to an art museum because they surely have a lot of paintings throughout the hotel. From the small ones to the really big ones. Some paintings were unique and breathtaking. These are some of the artworks I managed to snap along the way.
They also have paintings decorated inside the rooms as well.
So now let's start with their rooms, shall we?
I remembered everyone saying 'woahhhh' every time they entered a room including me.
It feels like every room is better than the last one we visited
All rooms here in Hotel Perdana are equipped with:
IDD Telephone
32" LCD TV & 40" LCD TV in Suites
Minibar
Coffee & Tea making Facilities
Iron & Ironing Board
Writing Desk
In-room electronic safe
Individually controlled air-condition
Shower Tub in Classic Wings
Separate Shower stall & bathtub in Executive Wing
Hair Dryer
Here are some of the rooms at their classic wing.

This is just one of the examples of how the bathrooms look like, they all pretty much look the same for every room. With really beautiful sinks, nice marble floors and huge mirrors.
What do you think about the rooms in the classic wing? If you think that it's a 'woahhhh' you'll be screaming when you see the rooms in the Executive wing then. So are you ready? Let Mek Ying guide you to the Executive wing.
Each wing has its own elevators. The difference from the two elevators is the view of Stadium Kelantan at the waiting area of the executive wing. There is so much of a pleasant feeling as we approach the executive wing.
So what room awaits us at the executive wing? Here is the list:
Perdana Executive
Perdana Suite
Presidential Suite
The Royal Suite
Even the corridors you see here gives you such a luxurious vibe. don't you think?
So are you ready to see the rooms? First of all, is the Perdana Executive.
This is the room that we stayed in for 3 days 2 nights. I had plenty of time to scream with joy. There is a sense of luxury and exclusivity in this room compared to the ones in the classic wing. If you have seen my video I'm sure you know how much I loved this room.
So next let's see the Presidential Suite
It has 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large living room attached to a dining table and also a small kitchen in this suite. So this is how luxury looks like!

Amazed? Well, you will be beyond amazed for the next room.
The Royal Suite, this is the biggest and most luxurious room in this hotel.
The suite has 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 stunningly large living room with an eight seating dining table, a kitchen and a jacuzzi as well.

So that was the last room of the tour, I could hear whispers, (well maybe not whispers) how awesome the rooms were from the other participants. I feel the same too, how about you then?
We thought after hotel inspections we were going to get our room keys since everyone was so excited already to see their rooms but we headed up to the eleventh floor.
At the eleven floors is where we had our grill dinner if you watched my video. We just had a glimpse of the restaurant there cause they were going to show us the view from the 11th floor.
So here is the outside view of the Eleven Restaurant and it looks so grand, right? With those high pillars, it's like exterior of a castle. So over here we were able to see a clear view of Kota Bharu.
The view here is just stunning! I could also see some of the stops we had during The Perdana Trail. So after seeing the splendid view we went downstairs again to the lobby to get our room keys.
Finallyyyyyy! HAHA
Before I forget one of Hotel Perdana's great interiors is the mirror effect in the waiting area. They made the interior feel like a real reflection. Truly amazed me.

So then we all headed to our rooms. I shared it with Mek Onie and we both had an awesome time taking pictures in our room, wondered what will happen if we stayed in the Presidential Suite, bet I wouldn't sleep much cause I'll be busy cam-whoring. LOL
So for the 3 days 2 nights I stayed here I felt really comfortable just like home. The bed instantly coaxes me to sleep. Even though I brought my laptop to get my assignments done, I was lost in the softness of the bed. I had no choice but to shut my laptop and sleep. HAHA
The room was equipped with everything we needed and we had plenty of space for each of us. The bathtub is amazing, Onie was in there like 2 hours, I thought she would never come out. Even the toiletries they prepared smells really good and works really well.
Even the guys had a fun time playing pranks on the hotel phone since the call is free from room to room.
Overall I am truly beyond satisfied with my stay here. I couldn't ask for more.
And here is the grand staircase that I mentioned earlier. If only I had a dress on, would be feeling like a princess that day. LOL
Hotel Perdana not only has awesome rooms but also great facilities as well. They have a pool for the adults and children, a gym and also a business centre.
Not only that, but they also provide function and meeting rooms here. Their grand ballroom Dewan Bunga Emas also is able to fit about 500 people at once which is the perfect venue for weddings, events and conventions. They also have 8 function rooms including 2 boardrooms, caters from small meetings to 20 to 100 persons.
Parking here is also not an issue since they have a really huge parking space.
What about the food and restaurants here? Well that will be included for next post
For now here are some of the pictures from the lobby with the Hotel's staffs. They are all super friendly and always smiling. Felt an instant feel of welcome with them which made us sad leaving here on our last day.
